I have been running for over 25 years, since high school, but very inconsistently. Where I would go from running multiple times a week for 3 months to a few years then not run for years. My longest break was nearly 10 years when I stopped running due to an IT band issue I developed while training for a marathon. I am working on getting back into the habit of running again and am focusing on developing a consistent training program that includes mobility and strength training that will be sustainable for the long term.
